6 swineflu cases in Chittoor

Swinefu is slowlyspreading its tentacles in Chittoor district with six persons testing positive for the disease on Wednesday.

Three of those infected with swineflu are  undergoing treatment at Tirupati in Ruia Hospital. The death of a pregnant woman a couple of days back is  creating panic  among the locals here.

As people are scared of the dreaded disease, awareness among the public  should be generated through medical campaigns, feel the locals.

A few have also alleged that the District  Health officials are not taking due care to  educate the people on Swine flu.

The residents of Chittoor district are rushing to private hospitals to take care  of this infection.The moisture and dampening conditions of monsoon provide a good breeding ground for the virus, say the officials.
