Telangana Rashtra Samithi (Trs) candidate Vidyasagar Rao lodged a complaint with the District returning officer stating that the postal ballot box deposited with the Tahsildar's office was tampered with by unknown persons.
Taking a serious view of the complaint, the district returning officer on Wednesday asked Koratla Tahsildar to explain how the Postal ballots which were under his custody were tampered with.
Rao alleged that the postal ballot covers sent by distant voters have been tampered with by unknown persons without the permission of the election officials. The ballot papers were supposed to be opened in public on the day of counting i.e; July 30.
The district returning officer has reacted positively to the apeal and promised to take immediate action into the issue, Rao told newspersons here in the day.
