Etela Rajender hits out at Naidu

Etela Rajender, the floor leader of Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the Legislative Assembly ridiculed the  ``Odarpu yatra of Y S Jagamnmohan  Reddy, the Congress MP from Kadapa.

Interacting with the media here on Thursday, he said  Odarpu yatras won’t  fetch votes. Jagan had no connections with the people of Telangana. So even if he had campaigned for the Congress  party in the just-concluded by-elections,  the TRS would have won hands down. It  is the Telangana sentiment which  worked.’’

Jagan like his father late YS Rajasekhara Reddy is a traitor of Telangana, he added.The TRS leader came down heavily on Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, for raising the issue of North Telangana and South Telangana on  the  basis of culture. The statement he  made was meaningless,  he noted.

Pointing out that no person from Telangana region had ever been appointed chairman of the Higher Education Council after it came into existence 22 years ago,  Rajender dubbed the tenure extension of  K C Reddy as atrocious. He urged the government to appoint an eligible person from Telangana as  the chairman  HEC.
