Refuting the allegations made against Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi by Rajasekhar and Jeevita, cine producer Allu Arvind urged the Government to carry out a finacial audit on the activities of the Blood Bank and Trust named after the actor.
Arvind went to the Secretariat on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum to Advisor to the Government, P.K Agarwal.
Referring to the allegations made by Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, the Tollywood producer said the charges were baseless and could not be established and were meant to tarnish Chiranjeevi's image.
Such allegations have not only hurt the sentiments of hundreds of Chiranjeevi fans, but also amounted to questioning the sanctity and honour bestowed on voluntary and charitable institutions by the government.
'To set aside the misinformation campaign, I request the government to direct the authorities to conduct a financial audit on the activities of the Chiranjeevi Blood Banks,' Allu Arvind told reporters.
