According to reliable industry sources, leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers has reportedly secured Bollywood star Sunny Deol for a significant project, offering a substantial remuneration ranging between Rs 35 to 40 crores. This marks the highest pay for Sunny Deol to date, attributed to the surge in his market value following the massive success of 'Gadar 2.'
Bollywood stars are increasingly drawn to collaborations with Telugu producers due to their reputed financial stability. The source notes that this trend has been consistent in the past, with Bollywood actors not hesitating to demand substantial sums from Telugu producers. Sunny Deol, following suit, has negotiated a considerable remuneration for his role.
Earlier, Mythri Movie Makers had reportedly shelved a film with reigning star Ravi Teja due to its estimated cost exceeding Rs 130 crores. The production house shifted its focus to Bollywood, driven by the belief in a script with pan-India appeal. Despite the 150-day shooting schedule likely escalating costs, the decision was made to explore new territories.
Director Gopichand Mallineni, known for his success with star-studded commercial movies like 'Don Seenu,' 'Balupu,' 'Krack,' and 'Veera Simha Reddy,' is set to make his Bollywood debut with this project. The film presents a significant opportunity for Gopichand to showcase his filmmaking prowess on a broader, pan-Indian scale.
