Khushi Kapoor in Mom 2. Movie lovers cannot forget legendary actress Sridevi's action thriller Mom which captured the imagination of all. The film is helmed by Ravi Udyawar.

For long the talk of the sequel did rounds and sometime back reports came that the sequel would star Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi's daughter in the lead role.

Now it is coming out that Mom 2 will be happening with Khushi in the lead. Karishma Tanna, according to the sources will be playing an important role in the film.

Titled Mom 2, the sequel will not feature Sridevi’s character. Instead, Khushi plays a daughter seeking justice and avenging her mother’s death.

Girish Kohli who directed the first part will be directing the film and Boney Kapoor will be bankrolling the project. Khushi has had a challenging start to her acting career. Her high-profile debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies failed to make an impact, while her second film, Loveyappa, opposite Aamir Khan’s son Junaid, fared even worse at the box office.
