Gopichand to show power with Kalagni. Macho Star Gopichand has tremendous fan following among masses and he was once hailed as Nizam King. However question marks came over his career as he came up with routine mass action entertainers.

It is known that Gopichand is currently starring in an extravagant periodic entertainer under the direction of Sankalp Reddy of Ghazi and Antariksham fame.

Inside talk is the makers all but finalised Kalagni as the film's title. Though the title was not announced officially, it is all but locked. Earlier the makers considered names like Shoola.

Sources reveal that Gopichand will be seen as a warrior in Kalagni and Sankalp Reddy penned the story based on the forgotten chapter in a historical event. The film is a blend of mythological, historical and patriotic elements.

The makers say that the climax episode which is being shot for more than 25 days will be the highlight in the film. The makers have taken lot of risk to cane this high octane action sequences. Sankalp Reddy took special care on the war episodes and chase sequences and insiders say the sequences came in an extraordinary manner.

The makers are considering solo release. Anudeep Dev is the music director and Rithika nayak is the female lead. The film is produced by Srinivas Chitturi in a lavish manner. Kalagni has a 7th century backdrop.
