First Faction Movie of Tollywood

Creative director Krishnavamsi's 'Anthahpuram' movie is considered to be the first movie of tollywood, made with Factionism concept. However, this movie could no be treated by many film lovers as Faction movie, as it didn't have star heroes. 

Meanwhile, Victory Venkatesh starrer 'Preminchukundaam Raa.' is considered the real first Faction based movie, as the movie consisting a big star hero. This movie was released on 9th May, 1997. Like Chiranjeevi's 'JVAS' and 'Gang Leader', which were released on 9th May in different years, 'Preminchukundam Raa' also proved to be a blockbuster those days. Anjala Jhaveri paired up with Venkatesh in this movie. This movie ran 100 days in 51 direct centers and set a new all time record in centers at that time. Jayanth C.Paranji was introduced as the director through this movie. Suresh Babu was the producer.
