Singer Nithyasri's Husband Commits Suicide

Eminent Carnatic musician and playback singer of films, Nithyasri Mahadevan's husband Mahadevan committed suicide by jumping into the Adyar from Kotturpuram bridge near their home in Chennai city on the evening of  20th December. He reached the bridge around 1pm in Honda City car. He then asked the driver to stop the car. Having got down the car, talking in his mobile phone he jumped off the bridge into the river. Meanwhile, Nithyasri too attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills. However, she was later rescued by her relatives. She is out of danger now.
