Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's blockbuster movie 'Chennai Express' collected Rs.200 crores in a span of just two weeks. Incidentally, above said amount is the nett but not the share. Not only bollywood movies but also the film industries of all languages announce the gross or nett collections of their movies but not the exact shares collected by those movies. We often hear the abnormal figures of the collections of kollywood stars like Rajnikanth and other heroes to their movies. In fact, those are the the gross collections with a bit of manipulations by the makers.
Unlike the makers of other film industries, tollywood makers give the details of the area wise shares collected by their movies. In this scenario, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's bollywood debut film 'Zanjeer' and its Telugu version 'Thoofan' are gearing up for release on September 6. Since bollywood trade pundits count the nett collections of a particular movie, the makers of 'Zanjeer/Thoofan' are also expected to reveal the genuine gross and nett collections of their movie. For instance, if the movie collects Rs.10 crores distribution share in an area, its gross would be Rs.20+ crores while its nett would be around Rs.17 crores. However, there will be variations depending upon the centers such as A,B,C and D.,due to differences in rentals and taxes to be paid. Meanwhile, this formula should not be applied for other direct Telugu movies.
