Former union minister and Megastar Chiranjeevi has been dong social service through his blood and and eye banks for one and half decades. Spending his own money, Chiranjeevi pays the salaries to the employees. On being maintained high standards in the blood bank and quick service to the needy people, the blood bank won 'Best Voluntary Blood Bank Award' for four times from state government. As of now, around one lakh blood samples and hundreds of eyes have been used for the needy people.Chiranjeevi is the only hero in India to have made his fans involved in large numbers for social cause.

Meanwhile, Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna has also started social service through 'Basavarama Tharakam Cancer Hospital' some time ago. Although he has not reportedly spent his own money for the development of the hospital, he successfully motivated the NRIs from US and some other countries for collecting the funds. Thus Balakrishna has also got succeeded in social service.
