President Signs Polavaram Ordinance

The President of India, Mr Pranab Mukherji signed the Polavaram project's ordinance on Wednesday evening on 28th of May.  This ordinance  includes seven Mandals of Khammam districts such as Bhadrachalam, Chinthur, Koonavaram, Kukkunuru,Velerupadu, Boorkampadu and PR Puram to be merged in residual AP. The union cabinet sent the ordinance to the president yesterday. Meanwhile, the TRS party is opposing this ordinance and called for a bandh tomorrow. This multi purpose project is expected to be completed in five years.
