Chiranjeevi; India's Highest Paid Actor Then

Lately, we heard about the remunerations of tollywood heroes have been sky rocketed around Rs.23 crores. Though the number seems to be good, comparing with some bollywood stars and Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, the remunerations of tollywood stars are less.

However, it was Megastar Chiranjeevi, who made his fans raise their collars proudly,gaining nation wide attention then. It was one of the greatest moments for Chiranjeevi, when he was paid the highest remuneration of Rs.1.25 crores per movie. No other actor in India received that much remuneration then. This news was published by noted national English magazine 'The Week' in its 13 September edition, 1992, with the heading 'Bigger Than Bachchan'. With this feat, Chiranjeevi not only surpassed Amitabh but also Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth then.
