* Kamal Haasan was introduced with 'Arangetram' directed by Balachander. Kamal Haasan was also seen many blockbusters such as 'Maro Charithra', 'Aakalirajyam', 'Idi Katha Kaadu'.

* Rajinikanth made his debut with 'Apoorva Raagangal' directed by Balachander.
