Manchu Lakshmi Neglects 'Budugu'

Small films depend more on promotions. Whoever is the big actor present in their film has to take up the prime responsibility of forwarding the film to reach the audience. For ‘Budugu’ arriving in theaters on 17th of this month has the only big name of Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna in the star cast. The engaging family thriller is moving towards the release date without Manchu Lakshmi uttering a word of promotion.

In fact, Lakshmi also has ‘Dongata’ from their home production which is aggressively promoted off late with a song crooned by Lakshmi also released on Youtube. However, she wasn’t present at ‘Budugu’ release press meet arranged yesterday. Present at the event are Master Prem and artist Sridhar Rao, producer Bhaskar and director Manmohan.

Never late than ever, there is more than one week left for ‘Budugu’ to hit the screens. In order to pull best opening collections, makers have to invite Lakshmi and grab the best possible attention. Without Manchu Lakshmi, this ‘Budugu’ is surely going to sink. Well the question is… whose neglecting whom. Is it Lakshmi neglecting the film or producers neglecting Lakshmi?
