Flat rates, Fake Shares and Flattery in media are reportedly dominating Tollywood box office at the moment with some of the movies getting staggering successes. Let us know how they matter.
FLAT RATES: The trend of hiking the ticket rates to double or triple based on the status of the area has come into force recently. This new out of pocket costs people leaving with empty pockets. Fans had to pay ten to twenty times more to that of the actual ticket prices in too many benefit shows and all these hiked ticket prices have been added up in the collections tally. Since the benefit of flat rates was availed by some big movies, upcoming big films should inevitably make use of the same benefit to get their movies breaking the records.
FAKE SHARES: It is sad to hear that some of the heroes and filmmakers assuage in promoting their movies with fake collections so as to ensure good run of their movies with sky racketing collections. However, this bad trend should not be taken inspiration by the heroes anyway.
FLATTERY IN MEDIA: Pre release promotions of the movies have taken revolutionary turn these days. Even, number one newspapers have also liberally offered their helping hands and are giving full page interviews or ads of the movies. There is nothing wrong in these kind of promotions and the media should sincerely do the similar favour to other movies as well. However, some channels are indulging in extreme levels of flattery of some movies and in this process, they are giving wrong info of the movies. For example, a top media house claimed a hero as the first Rs.40 crores hero of Tollywood. However, the movie mentioned by the channel collected just Rs.36 crores share only.
CONCLUSION: Every new development has its pros and cons. Pros should be embraced and cons should be discarded.
