Prathapa Rudrudu, Bigger To Bahubali

For those critics dissatisfied with Gunasekhar’s taking and screenplay adopted for ‘Rudhramadevi,’ there is always a second chance to excuse because Dil Raju came forward before media to produce ‘Pratha Rudrudu’ as a sequel to ‘Rudhramadevi,’ if Guna has his script ready and locked. As per history, Prathapa Rudrudu is the last king of Kakatiya dynasty and is grandson of Rudhramadevi.

Although Anushka’s performance as warrior queen hasn’t got that ferocity and central focus because of Gona Ganna Reddy’s over evolved heroism, a wrong move by Gunasekhar but ‘Prathapa Rudrudu’ will be completely male centric involved in wars with Tuglaq family from North. After the death of Rudhramadevi fighting against Amba Deva, it was Prathapa Rudrudu unified the big kingdom into one under his supreme rule.

So, ‘Prathapa Rudrudu’ can be a perfect commercial film with punching war episodes having enough scope as a part of screenplay. As Guna got a producer on hand, if he succeeds in pulling a star hero with mass image into the central role then ‘Prathapa Rudrudu’ can offer a real punch at Box Office which of course ‘Rudhramadevi’ missed by a whisker. So, here comes a chance for Guna to rectify the mistakes and aim a film higher than 'Bahubali.'
