Are These Sequels Possible Now?

SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad’s recent statement to media about his future assignments relating to sequels for ‘Vikramamarkudu’ and ‘Oke Okkadu’ has come like a stunner. We do know that Vijayendra Prasad is the brain behind biggest blockbusters like ‘Bahubali’ and ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan.’ However, his last assignment ‘Jaguar’ made on massive budget missed the mark becoming a biggest dud at Box Office.

Moreover, mass and powerful subjects like ‘Vikramarkudu’ or class and intellectual topics like ‘Oke Okkadu’ need lot of home work and an able director to capture the essence. Alone Rajamouli and Shankar can be the befitting directors to plan the sequels. Apparently, Vijayendra Prasad’s story or screenplay cannot take those projects into production.

While Jakkanna and Shankar haven’t got any time in near future, it would be better for Vijayendra Prasad to write some new concepts viable in present market situations instead of wasting time on sequels.
