IT Officials Enquiring On 2 Point 0!?

Gone are the days when producers openly publicized their film budgets and revenues at will and wish. There was no space for a word called transparency. Apparently, Narendra Modi is suppressing the black currency in market mercilessly and producers who earlier enjoyed the freedom have begun to feel the pressure.

As per Kollywood buzz, all the reports pertaining to Rajinikanth and Shankar’s latest outing ‘2 Point 0’ is made on a budget of Rs.360 Crores (including publicity) have got into the observation of Income Tax officials in Chennai circle. Recent Income Tax Raids on ‘Bahubali’ producers’ offices in Hyderabad is a worrying reason for many producers in Kollywood, Bollywood to get panicky.

Now that Telugu and Tamil journalists are writing ‘2 Point 0’ budget as 360 Crores, obviously producer Subaskaran Allirajah of Lyca Productions should keep a tab on such write-ups. Subaskaran is a Sri Lankan Tamil businessman who founded Lycatel and Lycamobile group of companies operating in 21 countries.
