Director Vamshi Pydipally is all set for a legal battle against producer Potluri Vara Prasad. PVP has recently lodged a complaint against Vamshi alleging that the director walked out of his next film which was supposed to be starred by Prince Mahesh. The producer, further went ahead saying that he had incurred a loss of Rs.21 crores on 'Oopiri' which was directed by Vamshi Pydipally

With his dismay, PVP's 'Brahmotsavam', starred by Mahesh, stood as the biggest disaster of Tollywood in the recent past. Mahesh promised the producer that he would do another film to compensate his losses. But then, Mahesh and Vamshi have decided to work under Dil Raju and Aswini Dutt's production houses.

Vamshi Pydipally, in the meanwhile, has decided to challenge PVP through a legal battle. He said that 'Oopiri' didn't incur that big losses as claimed by the producer. He made it clear that 'Oopiri' was a profitable venture.

According to trade reports, 'Oopiri' stood as a profitable venture at US box office while the film could not live upto the expectations in India. It remains to be seen how well the controversy of PVP and Vamshi to be ended.
