An English daily, today, has come up with a controversial article saying King Nagarjuna's 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' as the biggest disaster of Tollywood in recent years. But then, no one could make out how this analysis was done.
According to trade, 'ONV's pre release theatrical business was valued to Rs.35 crores. The may movie may not get half of its investment back. Thus, it can be rated as a disaster at the box office but this should not be placed beside the Tollywood's biggest disaster 'Brahmotsavam'.
According to the trade experts, 'Brahmotsavam' still holds the Tollywood's biggest disaster status. The movie got its pre release business done to Rs.72 crores and accumulated just Rs.34 crores. On a whole, the film incurred Rs.38 crores loss. Until or unless any Telugu film incurs more than Rs.38 crores loss, 'Brahmotsavam's record would be safe. In the meanwhile, Nagarjuna is busy working for 'Raju Gari Gadhi 2' wherein he would be seen as a psychologist, yet another different role for Nag.
