Mahabharata Title Controversy!

Ever since an UAE based businessman BR Shetty announced Rs.1000 crores 'Mahabharata', the news caught nationwide attention and the film lovers are eager to know the updates of the proposed project.

The movie is based on popular Malayalam book 'Randamoozham' penned by Gnanapeeth award winner Vasudev Nair. However, the story was dealt with second brother of Pandavas, ' Bheema' as protagonist. Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal will be donning the role of 'Bheema' while King Nagarjuna has recently been approached by the makers for 'Karna's role in the movie.

However, the members of Kerala based 'Hindu Aikya Vedi' are opposing the title which landed in huge controversy at the moment. They argued that the book was Bheema's centric epic and so the title 'Mahabharat' shouldn't have been chosen for the film. Instead, the same title 'Randamoozham' should be opted by the makers. They have, further, warned the makers that they would stop releasing the film if they go with the same title 'Mahabharata'. 

As the film is embroiled with such controversies even before its launch, more number of hurdles maybe faced by the team 'Mahabharata'.
