Indian films created huge market for themselves in Pakistan. True to core that Indian movies serve high dose of engaging, quality entertainment and top notch production standards than that of our neighborhood movies.
This is the area where Pakistan film producers and distributors are really shaken as Indian films encroached deep into their local film trade.
Resultantly, Salman Khan’s high on demand film Tubelight will not have a release in Pakistan because local distributors stepped back for the good of Pakistan cinema.
Salman’s sky high popularity among Pakistani audiences is proving detrimental for other local films.
“As there are two big local films scheduled for Eid release, makers does not want any competition from Salman Khan’s Tubelight. This Indian star hero has millions of fan base in Pakistan. To protect the interests of Pakistan local films, Tubelight release is stopped,” a media report from Pakistan claimed.
In this same Eid season, Pakistan’s first ever international film Yalghaar and the second movie Shor Sharaba are hitting the screens. So, there’s no one to switch on the Tubelight in Pakistan.
