Hit In Tamil Nadu, Flop Everywhere!

Thala Ajith’s most hyped action spy thriller Vivegam (in Telugu Vivekam) released last week has opened to some positive reports in Tamil Nadu while in rest of the India and overseas, definitely the trade reports aren’t promising. 

Directed by Siva with Kajal Agarwal as heroine, Vivegam released in nearly 3100 screen across 42 countries is biggest of the releases just next to Baahubali and Kabali. Right from day one, the film carried divided reports for overdosed action.

Reports say, Vivegam pulled approximately Rs. 69.50 Crores across India till the weekend and Rs. 36.50 Crores from overseas taking the overall total to Rs. 106 Crores. Certainly Vivegam broke Ajith’s career best Vedalam opening records but how far the film can go ahead in coming days is a big question mark.

Particularly, more than half of Vivegam worldwide collections came from Tamil Nadu alone. This shows the solid following Ajith enjoys in his local territory. As per information available, Vivegam has also broke Kabali and Baahubali 2 opening records in Chennai by a sweet margin.
