Films made in horror genre have some constraints. Story and screenplay may differ for horror comedy but all the films have some things in common. If they are embedded in a perfect manner, then film will be a super hit and even a little fault will spell doom for the makers.
In the recent release Raju Gari Gadhi 2, everyone felt that comedy was not much, though there were three comedians. Ever since the success of Prema Katha Chitram, many reprised similar formula in their quest to score hits. But they couldn't score hits unless they thought of something new.
In the olden days ghosts used to make a living in the burial grounds, haunted houses, banyan trees or forests. In 90s too Horror Films came and for Horror Films there is no such season. During that time filmmakers used to come with the backdrop of lonely places, haunted houses, banyan trees and burial grounds.
Seems ghosts did not like these dirty places and they underwent posh transformation. They now started moving freely along with people and scaring them mercilessly. Prema Katha Chitram set this new trend to surprise everyone. Even star heroines who earlier did not show interest in starring in Horror Films are showing interest.
Sometime back Charmee scored a hit with Mantra but she failed to repeat the magic with Mantra 2. Nayanatara got good craze with Horror Films Dora and Mayuri. Tamanna tested her luck in three languages with Abhinetri but failed miserably. Trisha tried with bilingual entertainer Nayaki but failed at the box office. She is now coming with Mohini which is slated for grand release soon.
Telugu beauty Anjali attracted with Geetanjali but her film Chitrangada failed miserably. Swathi's Tripura, Hansika's Chandrakala too failed to make an impression. Nagarjuna for the first time starred in a horror film Raju Gari Gadi. Siddharth who is bereft of hits is testing his luck with Gruham. Anjali is once again trying to scare viewers with Balloon. Family hero Srikanth too is starring in a horror film Ra Ra. Sarath Kumar's daughter Varalakshmi is coming with Ammayi.
But much to the shock of all RGV's horror flick Patta Pagalu with Rajasekhar did not see the arc lights. Many Horror Films like Karulo Shikarukelite, Adavilo Last Bus, Aata... Aa Intlo Emundi,Chitram Kaadu Nizam, Pannendu 12, Jilebi in Kannada, Bhumi in Hindi are getting ready to scare viewers on silver screen.
