Paradise Papers Leak: YS Jagan, Amitabh Bachchan In List

We have heard enough about Panama Papers peak that took entire world by a shocker when 11.5 million documents detailing the financial and attorney client information of more than 2,14,488 offshore entities is leaked. Now, it’s Paradise Papers as a new set of 13.4 million document records from a confidential law firm Appleby is leaked containing 714 Indians who have evaded taxes and hedged funds.

Paradise Papers are a bunch of corporate documents leaked by German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung and the same are shared with International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

Among 180 countries found in this Paradise Papers data leak, India too has its share as below is the client list: 

- Sun Group, founded by Nand Lal Khemka.

- All the firms in Sun-TV-Aircel-Maxis case.

- All the shell firms in Essar-Loop 2G case.

- Ziquista Healthcare - Involved in Rajasthan Ambulance scam with directors Sachin Pilot and Karthi Chidambaram.

- YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

- Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha.

- Niira Radia of Radia tapes fame.

- Manyata, wife of Sanjay Dutt whose former name is Dilnashin.

- Amitabh Bachchan off shore accounts in a Bermuda company.

- Diageo, same company which acquired Mallya’s United Spirits Limited India.

- GMR Group, Jindal Steel, Apollo Tyres, Havells, Hindujas, Emaar MGF, Videocon, the Hiranandani Group and DS Construction etc.
