Veteran Bollywood hero Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on Monday, December 4, 2018 at Kokila Ben hospital in Mumbai. He was 79 and is survived by two sons and a daughter. He acted as many as 175 films in Hindi and English languages. He was the son of legendary actor and filmmaker Prithviraj Kapoor

Shashi Kapoor was first seen as a child artist in Raj Kapoor's Aag. Later he made his debut as an adult guy in Dharmaputra. Sharmili, Kabhi Kabhi, Dusra Aadmi, Namak Halal and many other films of Shashi Kapoor stood as huge hits.

Shashi Kapoor was honoured with Padma Bhushan award by the Government of India while he was the recipient of India's highest award in cinema, Dada Saheb Phalke, in 2014. Cinejosh is saddened with the demise this great veteran hero. May his soul rest in peace!
