How Venkatesh Became A Hero?

Victory Venkatesh is celebrating his birthday today. On the eve of his birthday, star writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna shared some interesting facts on how Venkatesh became a star. Along with his brother Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, they both provided stories for more than 50 films under D Ramanaidu's Suresh Productions banner which is indeed an achievement. 

'During Mundadugu shooting times Suresh Babu and Venkatesh Babu used to look after the production activities. In 1985, Ramanaidu garu got the dates of director Raghavendra Rao and we were ready to provide the story. However to Ramanaidu's bad luck he couldn't get the dates of Super Star Krishna. Same happened with Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi and even Sobhan Babu. 

Then Ramanaidu jokingly remarked that even after having stalwart writers, star heroes are not giving him dates. At that time we told him, sir! why don't you make Venkatesh Babu a hero. We will pen a story for him. We don't know why such words came out of our mouths but Venkatesh became a star,' said Paruchuri Gopalakrishna. 

Taking this advice, Ramanaidu looked around and asked Raghavendra Rao for his opinion. Raghavendra Rao simply, said if they provide me a powerful story that will run for 100 days, I am ready to direct Venkatesh. 

Thus Kaliyuga Pandavulu with Venkatesh as debutante happened and signaled the arrival of another star in the industry.
