Ever since Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli created sensations with magnum opus Baahubali and broke all the records at Indian Box Office to win the laurels at international level, filmmakers from other languages took up the challenge to dislodge Baahubali from top spot.

Ace director Shankar coming with Asia’s most expensive film 2.0 starring Rajinijanth in the lead is one among them. As per a buzz in business circles, 2.0 is pretty much on its task of breaking Baahubali records even before release.

2.0 Kerala theatrical rights have been acquired by a leading distribution house for a whopping Rs. 16 Crs and broke Baahubali record because Kerala rights of Baahubali were earlier sold at Rs. 10.5 Crs.

2.0 consists of the stellar casting of Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles while AR Rahman is the music director.
