Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth and top director Shankar's Sci-Fi thriller 2.0 was, hitherto, thought to hit the marquee on the eve of Republic Day. But then, the delay of post production and VFX made it inevitable for the film to get deferred to April.

Now that Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India makers got their film's released date locked to April 27 and Prince Mahesh's Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu was also contemplated to be released in the same season, an ambiguity got prevailed on the release dates of Mahesh and Bunny's films.

In the meanwhile, rumours were floated around that the producers both NPS and BAN films gave advances to exhibitors thus blocked theatres against 2.0 release. Obviously, some of the cine lovers threw blame on production teams of NPS and BAN.

Finally, an update from 2.0 may turn as an eye opener to critics and a shocker to gossip mongers. Reports from Chennai suggest that 2.0 has been put off of Independence Day weekend due to expected delay in graphics work. Had the makers of NPS and BAN really created troubles to 2.0, the film could have been released in the month of May. But this prolonged delay is surely the makers crucial decision for making the film a visual spectacle.
