King Nag in a Political Biopic

King Nagarjuna is known for his versatile roles and of late he has been surprising not only movie lovers but also all Akkineni fans with his decisions. Nag who entertained with different genre films like Oopiri,Manam,Soggade Chinni Naayana,Om Namo Venkatesaya and Raju Gari Gadi is currently busy shooting for his cop action thriller under the direction of maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. 

Nag also gave green signal to star in the multi starrer teaming with Natural Star Nani. The film is expected to go to sets soon. In the midst of all this rumours are spreading that Nag will be seen in a powerful political biopic. It is known that a film on former Chief Minister YS.Rajasekhar Reddy has been planned long time back under the direction of Mahi. 

Script work is already completed and the makers initially considered Malayalam star Mammootty for the lead role. However it is now heard that makers changed their plans and contacted King Nagarjuna for the lead role. 

Inside talk is Nagarjuna too gave green signal but set a condition that the film shouldn't release during 2019 elections so as not to drag him into unnecessary political controversy. It has to be seen how Akkineni fans and political parties react to Nag as YSR.
