Bollywood legend Pruthviraj Kapoor attained stardom as a stage artist, in silent and also in talkie films. Even after he became a star, he never ignored the stage shows. Kapoor instituted Pruthvi Theatre in Mumbai and with the help of family members started perfoming on stage and endeared himself to everyone.
Pruthviraj Kapoor used to seek donations from the people after every stage show. In one such show a Telugu youngster got moved completely and at once donated whatever he had with him and prostrated to the great legend. Later he realised that he didnot have anything to return to his place and reached his home with the help of his friends.
The youngster who is making a name as a stage artist in Andhra Pradesh later went to Madras and after undergoing lot of hardships finally gained recognition as a character artist. He is none other than character actor Gummadi Venkateswara Rao.
