Rare Feat: Baahubali 2 100 Days In Japan

SS Rajamouli's masterwork Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is still the highest grosser in India. The film released in several countries and did fab job there as well. This time, Baahubali 2 has smashed records in Japan as well. The Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah Bhatia starrer film has crossed 100 days in theatres and it grossed over US$1.3 million in 14 weeks.

Informing the same, the producer of Baahubali series Shobu Yarlagadda of Arka Arka Media Works tweeted, .@BaahubaliMovie 2 released in Japan on 29th December.  It has crossed 100 days in theatres & presently in its 15th week grossing over US$1.3 million! A big thank you to Japanese fans for the love and our Japanese distributor @movietwin2 for a great release!  @ssrajamouli.

Hindi films may have got a Japanese fan following lately but South Indian films had penetrated the market in 1995 itself with Rajinikanth’s film Muthu that became a craze amid the movie goers so much so that they got Rajinikanth and the film’s lead actress Meena on the cover of a snack.

Right now, Rajamouli is working on pre-production of his new film with Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
