It seems yet another controversy has been triggered due to a producer's public statement. Long back, producer Anil Sunkara made a huge splash with his strange statement during the success celebrations of Prince Mahesh Babu's blockbuster film Dookudu.
Anil Sunkara proclaimed that Dookudu had collected Rs.100 crores share and stood as an all time industry hit of Tollywood. In fact, Magadheera's industry hit share record of Rs.80+ crores was not beaten by Dookudu then. The film actually collected Rs.55 crores share. Eventually, mega fans from all areas collected both Magadheera and Dookudu share reports from distributors and proved that Magadheera record was not broken by Dookudu for any area. Their comparison reports were published by many media houses then.
And today, Mahesh Babu's latest venture Bharat Ane Nenu's producer Dvv Danayya gave something similar statement as Anil did in 2011. Dvv Danayya said BAN had collected a gross of Rs.161 crores and there was no fake in it. As a matter of fact, BAN collected a total of Rs.71 crores. If at all, gross and share ratio is calculated, the film cannot cross Rs.116 crores gross. Cine fans are wondering with the public statement of DVV.
"Why should a producer and distributors try to make people trusted their collection numbers? If at all, the film really gets genuine collections, they needn't desperately give such public statements. and which simply get their decency and statuses degraded", says a cine fan.
And last but not the least, movie fans are expressing surprise for the strange announcements of collections on public dais for Mahesh Babu's films. Who actually made producers and distributors give such announcements?
