Superstar Pay: 65 Cr For 40 Call Sheets

Superstar Rajinikanth is waiting for the release of two films- Kaala and 2.0. While Pa. Ranjith directed film will hit the screens on June 7th, Shankar directorial will release later this year. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has signed a film for Sun Pictures which will be directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Pizza and Mercury fame.

It is heard that, Rajinikanth allotted 40 days call sheets for the film. Guess what, he’s charging staggering Rs 65 crores for the film. This is highest ever for a South Indian star. Regular shoot of this movie will commence from May end or in July. Young hero Vijay Sethupathy is roped into play antagonist in the movie.

Recently, producer Gnanavel Raja made severe comments on remuneration of Kollywood stars. He also lauded Telugu actors who charge far less pay compared to what Tamil star heroes charge per a film.

Interim, Rajinikanth who is in USA for regular health check-up is expected to attend audio launch of Kaala to take place on May 9th in Chennai.
