More Than A Lakh For 30 Seconds

Many feel that none can beat the old melodies and evergreen classics. Despite the advent of technology, filmmakers are unable to come up with films that match the caliber of Mayabazar, Gundamma Katha, Adavi Ramudu, Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari etc.

Recently Geetha Govindam makers used the melody ‘Ennenno Janmala Bandham’ in the background showing Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika in black and white. It got tremendous response from all quarters.

It is coming out that the makers paid a whopping Rs 1.70 lakh to use the 30 seconds song bit in their film. It is known that Rajan-Nagendra created sensation with his tune for the song during those days.

Craze for old melodies is still there as many are listening to Ilayaraja's memorable hits. Ilayaraja fought against those who are using his tunes without his permission and now he is getting royalty for the same.
