Arjun Reddy Effect On Geetha Govindam

Geetha Govindam staring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna is running successfully in theaters. The film directed by Parasuram has already crossed 100 cr gross and 50 cr shares worldwide within two weeks, which is an all-time record for a medium range hero. The film is expected to add a minimum of 10 cr share to the total in full run.

Meanwhile, Geetha Govindam satellite business has been closed. Zee Telugu is lucky to acquire the film’s satellite rights for a reasonable price of Rs 4.5 Cr. Considering the film’s humongous run at box office, the satellite deal is minimal. In fact, there was effect of Arjun Reddy on Geetha Govindam deal.

Vijay Deverakonda was branded as youth star and his last film Arjun Reddy was completely ignored by families owing to excess amount of adult content in it. In fact, TV channels show interest on pure family entertainers. Thus, Geetha Govindam got less price, because the deal was closed before its theatrical outing.

Had they sell Geetha Govindam satellite rights now, it would have fetched huge amount for producers!
