Fate Story: Abbas To VD Konda

Destiny or luck, few incidents in the industry shock everyone. Luck plays an important role in the success of stars in the industry. 

Kadhal Desam (Prema Desam) created a sensation in 1996 and two newcomers Abbas and Vineeth became overnight stars. The dubbing film too turned out to be a super hit in Telugu. 

Abbas became the heartthrob of everyone. Entire south got gripped in Kadhal Desam mania and even the dubbed Hindi version did well at the box office. Now Abbas is not seen anywhere and got confined to just doing toilet ads like Harpik. 

In 1996, Raviteja was seen struggling for small roles. Though he did few roles in Rajasekhar's Allari Priyudu, Nagarjuna's Chaitanya, Chiranjeevi's Aaj Kaa Goodaraj, he did not get any recognition. 

He was simply passing time as an assistant director under Krishna Vamsi. However his fate changed completely with the success of Sindhuram. He became minimum guarantee hero and went on to do four films a year. 

There are many such incidents. Sivanageswara Rao's fate turned upside down, when he became assistant director for Ram Gopal Varma, who earlier worked under him. From Sekhar Kammula's Life is Beautiful, only Vijay Deverakonda did not gain any attention. 

However while all others disappeared from the screen, Vijay Deverakonda became a genex super star with hits like Pelli Chupulu, Arjun Reddy, Mahanati and Geetha Govindam.
