Cine goers don't hail all the directors as intelligent makers. Only few of them with their hardwork and talent get the recognition.
In the olden days K.Vishwanath, Dasari Narayana Rao and Jandhyala got that recognition and in the current generation Shankar, Trivikram Srinivas and Murugadoss won the appreciation.
However their intelligence is getting blurred and many feel they are losing their sheen by resorting to plagiarism.
Trivikram Srinivas faced plagiarism accusations for his films A. Aa, Agnyaathavaasi and Aravinda Sametha, but he silently and smartly escaped avoiding those questions.
Now Murugadoss got the copy shock. His upcoming film Sarkar faced plagiarism violations and Murugadoss who till now denied the allegations finally settled the agreement when the production house decided to credit the writer Varun Rajendran in the title card and also pay him a whopping amount.
Sarkar is slated for a grand release on Nov 6th and Madras High Court judgement was scheduled on Thursday. The makers felt that if the Court rules in Varun's favour, they have to pay huge amount as compensation and the release may also get stalled. So they decided to solve the matter amicably.
Inside talk is Varun earlier demanded Rs 30 lakhs. It is not known for how much they settled the issue. Murugadoss is getting trolled mercilessly on social media.
Even during Katti release, Murugadoss faced copy allegations and though he sailed through, when Chiranjeevi remade the film in Telugu as Khaidi No 150, they paid the writer handsomely before proceeding ahead.
Ram Gopal Varma for long has been facing plagiarism allegations and he has been entangled in court cases. Wonder when the makers learn to behave in a honest manner.
