In December, nearly a dozen films came out for audience verdict out of which a small time film Husharu has only attained the hit status, wherein the other outings have failed utterly including Sharwanand’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu and Varun Tej’s Antariksham. The Hanu Raghavapudi and Sankalp Reddy directorial ventures released amidst huge expectations, but they botched to meet them owing to poor execution.

Recent releases Idham Jagath and Bluff Master too got underwhelming response and they too are turning out as flops. So, business of almost all the films released in 2018 is coming to end. In fact, movie buffs too are in waiting mode for Sankranthi attractions, rather than watching any of the December releases.

Unfortunately, even small time filmmakers are not keen to release their films in January first week. It’s indeed a great opportunity to utilize non-competition zone for at least a week days. One week is more than enough and if they get positive talk post release they may perform well in Sankranthi week as well.

It will be void situation at box office for a week days until the arrival of- Balakrishna’s NTR: Kathanayakudu, Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Venkatesh, Varun Tej’s F2- Fun And Frustration.
