No would ask had Balakrishna included his role in late father NTR’s biopic directed by Krish. But, he chose not to include his role in the film as to highlight only NTR’s character. In fact, no other character is given much significance, though Vidya Balan who played NTR’s wife Basavatarakam has got decent screen space.
Balakrishna at various occasions said, while Gautamiputra Satakarni was to respect all the mothers, NTR biopic is to honor his father. Curiously, Balakrishna who did not include his part has given good importance to his elder brother Harikrishna who played key role in NTR’s political life.
Harikrishna’s son Kalyan Ram has enacted the role and he will have good number of scenes. As is known, Harikrishna drove NTR’s chariot (Chaitanya Ratham) for thousands of kilometers. He was the one who stayed with NTR whenever he went during his campaigning and meetings.
Balakrishna says runtime is the reason for him to remove his part in the film. Moreover, he wanted to give enough scope for his mom and brother.
