Samantha Couldn’t Say No

Samantha after marriage is accepting only content rich films with utmost scope for her character. She has now signed to do Telugu remake of critically acclaimed Tamil film 96 that starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in lead roles. Sharwanand will essay male lead in the Telugu version.

Samantha who always compliments her co-stars when she likes their performance has lauded Trisha’s acting prowess in 96. Curiously, when Samantha was approached to replace Trisha in Telugu version, she readily accepted it. Dil Raju will produce the film while the original director C Prem Kumar will helm it. The film will go on floors soon and the director is reportedly making few changes to the script.

Samantha played insignificant roles in various films as to star opposite super stars of Telugu cinema initial stage of her stint in film industry. But, she is now doing films to please an actor in her. After Rangasthalam and U Turn, she is now doing noteworthy roles in her hubby Naga Chaitanya starrer Majili and Nandini Reddy’s latest directorial O Baby! Yentha Sakkagunnave where she is playing an old lady.

Likewise, Samantha accepted 96 remake as she developed adulation for the film as well as the role played by Trisha. She couldn’t say no as she was waiting for the call from the makers.
