Can Akhil Recover From These Shocks?

King Nagarjuna and his son Akhil's dreams of casting a magic spell in Tollywood are fast disappearing with the results of his first three films. Nag planned his son Akhil's career in such a manner so as not to repeat the mistakes he did in his elder son Naga Chaitanya's career.

He first made Akhil a well-known personality even before his entry into films, by making him play CCL and showcasing his cricketing skills. Later he turned him the brand ambassador for many top brands using his handsome and charming looks.

The way, Akhil's cameo was planned in Manam by Vikram Kumar, many felt that a star was born in Tollywood. Expectations soared on Akhil's debut film Akhil-The Power of Jua and it was promoted in a never seen before manner with almost celebrities from all walks of life in the country promoting Akhil wishing him all the best.

But the film turned out to be a disaster and Akhil went into a silent mode. He took more than one year to sign his second film and Nagarjuna promoted the romantic entertainer Hello as Akhil's re-launch. Even that film bombed at the box office despite efforts to promote the film as a feel good youthful entertainer.

Akhil after another long duration of silence recently came up with Mr Majnu. Akkineni family promoted it as Akhil's another re-launch and everyone pinned their hopes on it. But all Akkineni fans and Akhil's dreams came down crashing. Reality is dawning on him and many are wondering what is Akhil's next move. Whether he will go into the silent mode or will he start his next quickly.

Many feel Akhil should continue doing films at quick pace at least for fans irrespective of the results. Akhil promised to come up with another film during Dasara this year. The question is will Akhil go ahead with his earlier plans or change his plans after the setbacks.

Akhil claimed that he heard 2-3 subjects and he will soon finalize one of them. It is not clear whether Akhil heard stories from three directors or three versions from the same director. It is known that, Akhil liked a story narrated by Aadi Pinisetty's brother Satya Prabhas. As per a buzz, Akhil is keen to do this movie.
