Sandalwood film Kgf: Chapter 1 starring Yash under the direction of Prashanth Neel created a sensation grossing around Rs 250 crs at the box office. The film turned out to be super hit in Kannada and Hindi and did well in Telugu.
Right after Baahubali, success of Kgf is most talked about across the country. While many are talking about the greatness of Kgf, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna made startling revelation about the movie.
He said, “If one has to analyze Kgf, it all boils down to how a son fulfills the promise he made to his mother at her deathbed in the eleventh hour. If we observe the film's soul, it is very small and how it collected Rs 160 crs share speaks volumes of the care the makers have taken. The film's plot has been seen in the past in few films. Even we penned many such stories and one such film is Kondaveeti Donga which revolves around gold mines and tribals. The story has mines in the forests and a tiger kills everyone to hide the secret. We created a trauma and hero who was supposed to become a collector turns a bandit."
Paruchuri continued saying, "In Kgf a poor mother wants her son to be a king and the richest person. This is a very great point in the views of the writer and the director. They created a motive for a 14 year old kid. While mother dreams of her son to become a king, he wants to become an emperor. This became the strong emotion and wonderful dialogues in 10-15 scenes in the film helped the story movement perfectly. The makers penned the story from the viewpoint of the men.
While the makers named it as Kolar Gold Fields, my view is King of Golden Factionist. While viewers feel that hero should kill the mafia, PM's view point happens to eliminate the hero. We penned troubles of a bandit in the forest and the troubles of the tribals, in Kgf the makers highlighted hero, mafia and slavery."
Paruchuri said there is male view point even in Aravinda Sametha and Geetha Govindam, which connected well with the movie lovers.
