Legends’ Penchant For Public Abuses

Movie lovers cannot forget Bapu-Ramana's films and cartoons. Even though they are not physically present, they are always in the hearts of Telugu people till eternity. Cartoons and films of Bapu, Ramana leave everyone laugh out heartily and at the same time send powerful message to the society. They used to be unmoved either by bouquets and brickbats.

During the launch of their book 'Bapu-Ramaneeyam' in Vijayawada, they called Ravikondala Rao and told him, “In the function everyone will praise us. You bring a Telugu teacher and make him abuse us.” Though Ravikondala Rao tried stopping them, they did not listen. Finally Ravikondala Rao himself went to the stage and criticized the book blasting left right and centre. He even criticized Bapu's cartoons. 

Both enjoyed it thoroughly laughing out loudly. They never used to come to the stage and get felicitated even during their films success meets.

Once, Bapu and Ravikondala Rao went to England. At a huge meeting, he told Ravikondala Rao, “I will give my films list. You criticize me as you like”. When Ravikondala Rao was criticizing tearing apart each and every film, Bapu enjoyed a lot along with the viewers. Does anyone like to get abused in full public gaze? Even for their Koti Kommachchi book launch, they enjoyed when people criticized.
