It is a known news that former CM Chandrababu Naidu paid a handsome package to 23 YSRCP MLAs in the past and thus got them inducted into TDP. Co-incidentally, TDP won just 23 MLA constituencies in the recent general elections.
Speaking about the co-incidence, AP CM Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy said he could have made five TDP MLAs defected and would let them join YSRCP so as to ensure CBN not to get opposition leader status. "If I too encourage such defections, what would be the difference between CBN and me?" questions Jagan.
However, Jagan's question turned out to be a shocking blow not only to CBN but also Telangana CM KCR. As we know, KCR has got mastery over encouraging defections of other parties' MLAs. A big number of TDP and Congress party MLAs were let to join TRS.
"KCR felt Jagan's words a tight slap to him and he might have said sorry to Jagan on encouraging defections," opined a political observer.
