The first half of 2019 witnessed only very few victories in Tollywood much to the disappointment of movie lovers. Top stars failed to set the cash counters ringing leaving not only their fans but also the producers shell shocked.

Under these circumstances, only young guns saved the day for the industry. While star heroes big budget entertainers left everyone tensed, young stars low budget films which queued up at the box office brought smiles.

Among stars except F2 starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej, films of Ram Charan, Balakrishna and Rajinikanth bombed at the box office.

After F2, Yaatra, inspired by former AP CM YSR's padayatra made good profits. Later Kalyan Ram came with a thriller 118 and delighted producers with profits.

Suryakantama and Lakshmi's NTR failed at the box office. However Naga Chaitanya's Majili, Sai Dharam Tej's Chitralahari and Nani's Jersey did well at the box office.

Mahesh Babu showed his power at the box office as Maharshi but once again young guns took over the mantle. Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya and Brochevarevarura are doing well at the box office. Kalki is doing decent business in B, C centers, but failing to set the box office on fire.
