Of late, senior Telugu directors are taking some time off to watch some good films. In order to encourage fresh talent and small time films, they are asking audience to watch them on big screen. While some directors are coming up with genuine views, few others are making positive comments as an obligation from makers.

Coming to the actual point, Vijay Devarakonda’s brother Anand Devarakonda and Jeevitha-Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivatmika’s debut film Dorasani released recently to mixed response. Few senior directors, however, boasted the film for director KVR Mahindra’s sensible narration and lead actor’s mesmerizing performance.

Creative director Indraganti Mohan Krishna who apparently liked the film to the core has appreciated the cast and crew. Appreciating actors and technicians from Telangana, he said Telanagana Cinema is redefining Telugu Cinema.

“#DORASANI proves my claim that Telangana Cinema is redefining Telugu Cinema. Authentic, moving, entertaining and uncompromisingly artistic. Anand Devarakonda and Sivatmika are EXCELLENT. Other cast also. PLEASE WATCH ONLY IN THEATRES. KVR Mahendra. SP and BIG BEN,” he tweeted.

Apparently, this statement didn’t go down well with few Andhries who slammed the director for his flattery on Telangana Cinema. Expressing shock over criticism against his statement, Indraganti stated, “It’s not an insult to Andhra Cinema, which I am extremely proud of. To the guy who is abusing me—appudappudu aina brain vadu, dear lathkore. Exercise avutundi.

I am surprised to see some comments— some pathetically vulgar— about my use of the phrase ‘Telangana cinema.’ Telangana is a region, which, with its new ideas and perspectives, is infusing new energy into Telugu (which is a common language of both states) Cinema.”

Indraganti is currently directing Nani and Sudheer Babu in a thriller V which marks 25th film of the Natural Star.
