Bollywood Critic Breaths Fire On Sye Raa

Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa, a biopic on freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, directed by Surener Reddy is set for a spectacular release on Oct 2nd, offering patriotic treat on Gandhi Jayanthi.

The film's trailer released recently got tremendous response from all quarters. In fact the film's Hindi version trailer got more response from North and top stars like Salman Khan, Amir Khan congratulated Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan for the film and wished them all the best.

In the midst of all this, a Bollywood critic from Bihar, named Subhash K Jha breathed fire on the film. “Wondering whether the film is Manmohan Desai's Mard featuring Amitabh Bachchan or Manoj Kumar's Kranthi,” said he.

He accused the makers of being formalistic with nothing much in the story except for the age old Britishers looking barking creatures while Chiranjeevi resembled Robinhood rather than freedom fighter like Mangal Pandey.

He added the Sye Raa is just a hysteria rather than history and looked like Baahubali than Junoon. This proved once again ignorance and lack of knowledge of South freedom fighters among the North Indians.
