Chanakya Nears to Close!

Action hero Gopichand's Chanakya was released on October 5 which was aimed at availing Dasara festive season's advantage. However, in spite of Dasara, the film couldn't create any sensation of sorts at the ticket windows. 

The film collected a share of Rs.3.5 crores in Telugu states for 6 days while it accumulated Rs.3.9 crores share at world wide box office. Since break even target is set as Rs.12 crores, the film will travel miles to reach break even. 

It's said that Megastar Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimhareddy hampered the chances of Chanakya to bank on Dasara festival's advantage.

Chanakya was directed by Thiru under AK Entertainments. Mehreen Pirzada and Zareen Khan sported lead actresses roles.
